Accommodation Recommendation in Pai, Thailand – Canary Guesthouse

Before starting the Pai travelogue, I would like to recommend the accommodation I stayed at in Pai, Thailand. When I travel, I often opt for guesthouses to save on accommodation costs, and this place might just be one of the most beautiful guesthouses I’ve ever stayed at. About the guest house

To get to the accommodation, you need to cross the Pai River from the main street of Pai (Walking Street). This might make it sound like it’s far from the main area, but it only takes about 5-10 minutes on foot. The picture above shows the Pai Sling Bamboo Bridge, a bamboo bridge that is quite sturdy but has a bit of a wobble, so be careful when crossing.

Once you cross the bridge, you’ll be greeted by the picturesque view above. The green grass, trees, and blue sky over the ochre-colored Pai River create a stunning scene. Being here definitely gave me the feeling of being in a rural village in Thailand.

The guesthouse is called Canary Guesthouse and consists of several two-story buildings and a few single-story ones.

What I liked the most about this guesthouse is the well-furnished seating area right in front of the accommodation, where you can relax while gazing at the Pai River.

To be honest, I explored many places around Pai, but it was hard to find a place with a view as beautiful as this one. During my stay in Pai, I didn’t spend much time at the guesthouse because I felt compelled to explore the area, but if you’re staying for an extended period, just being here would be a great way to unwind. Plus, since the main street is just a short bridge away, there’s no need to worry about where to eat.

The guesthouse even has a cat living there. The cat isn’t afraid of people and sometimes approaches you first while you’re relaxing.

It was truly adorable.

I was assigned a room on the second floor. The room I initially booked didn’t have air conditioning, so I talked to the staff and upgraded to an air-conditioned room for an extra fee. For reference, the accommodation is very reasonably priced.

When I stayed there, the price was in the low 30,000 KRW range (approximately $25 USD), and the room condition was quite good.

It’s not easy to find a place with a private space and a view of the Pai River for just around 30,000 KRW. I’ve traveled to many countries and stayed at numerous guesthouses, but I’ve rarely come across one with such a high level of satisfaction for the price. Of course, it helps that this is in a rural village in Thailand…

The bathroom was also clean and had good hot water. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures of it. If you want to see more detailed photos, follow the link below. You’ll find more detailed information on the price and room condition.
