함께 신림동(현재 대학동) 고시촌을 걸어봅시다!

신림동 고시촌은 고시생들이 밀집해 있는 지역으로 서울대학교 근처에 위치해 있습니다. 대한민국의 고위 관료들의 과반수가 이곳에서 공부했을 정도로 수많은 공무원들이 이곳을 거쳐갔습니다.

많은 수험생들이 거주하는 곳이다 보니, 이들을 위한 서점과 헌책방이 많고 학원도 많습니다. 또한 저렴한 가격에 꽤나 괜찮은 음식점들이 많은 곳이기도 하죠. 

이곳을 걸으면서 미래를 향한 젊은이들의 열정과 그들의 땀을 조금이나마 느낄 수 있었습니다.

Hello. It’s Walker L 🙂

Let’s walk to Sillim-dong (now Daehak-dong) Gosichon(고시촌)!

Gosichon(고시촌) is a Korean term used to refer to residences of civil service examinees. Gosichon is located near Seoul National University. A large number of officials from South Korea’s top officials studied here, and so many officials have gone through it.

It is a place where many examinees live, so there are many bookstores and secondhand books for them, and there are many academies. Also, there are many good restaurants at reasonable prices.

As I walked here, I could feel some of the youth’s passion for the future and their sweat.
